Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)- Young people in Louisville will have a unique opportunity this summer to participate in a special entrepreneurship program.

Louisville is the first city in the nation to offer the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program.

About 400 young people will get the opportunity to earn real-world work experience from successful entrepreneurs, thanks to a partnership with Kentuckaiana works.

“Getting a summer job is important to teenagers because it’s about saving money. But it’s also about extending learning beyond the classroom and the school year,” says Dr. Donna Hargens.
