TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) -- A new interactive display that documents the lives and accomplishments of Indiana's politically prominent Bayh (by) family has opened at Indiana State University.

About 250 Indiana Democrats and others attended Friday's dedication at the Terre Haute school of the Bayh Family Legacy Wall, which toasts the Bayh family's accomplishments in education, public policy and service.

The Tribune-Star reports the interactive wall chronicles four generations of the west-central Indiana family whose connections with ISU go back more than 100 years.

Former Indiana governor and U.S. senator Evan Bayh said during Friday's opening that he's "very humbled by this and my entire family is."

He told the gathering that his father, former U.S. Sen. Birch Bayh, could not attend the event because of health reasons.
