JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A Seymour man is behind bars after a state trooper said he noticed suspicious activity along State Road 250.
According to a press release, Trooper Seth Davidson was patrolling the roadway when he noticed two vehicles parked along the side of the road.
Davidson said as he approached the vehicles one of them, a Dodge Ram, pulled away. The trooper followed the truck and initiated a traffic stop after noticing the license plates were expired.
The new release states 30-year-old Joseph K. Evans was driving the truck. Davidson ran a check on Evans' driver's license and found it was suspended.
The trooper then searched Evans' vehicle and found "a large amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a stole electric meter."
Evans was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and possession of stolen property.
