AUSTIN, Ind. (WHAS11) – Indiana State Police have arrested two people after discovering drugs during a routine traffic stop.
Police say 33-year-old James Barnett was stopped Friday night after they say he was driving in the middle of a rural road and having expired plates.
According to the report, a syringe and other drug paraphernalia was found in plain view on the passenger floorboard.
Police searched the vehicle and arrest Barnett and his passenger, 30-year-old Lindsay Cole.
Both are facing charges including possessions of methamphetamine, syringes, controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Both are currently booked at the Scott County Jail awaiting arraignment.
