(WHAS11)—With winter weather on the way to Kentuckiana this weekend, cities and people are preparing for it.
Southern Indiana looks to get the worst of the storm, but no word from JCPS about school closings.
Road crews are on standby and grocery stores are seeing business for the necessities.
Crews have been sent home at INDOT in Sellersburg, Ind. for the evening to get rest, before reporting back to work for a 12 hour shift during the winter weather.
INDOT would normally be brining the roadways, but with this storm starting as rain, it would be washed away. Instead, they will be salting the roads between the end of the rain and the start of the snow, keeping the roadways ready for anything that comes down.
