(WHAS11) - WHAS11 News has learned that the Rockport, Indiana man accused of murdering his stepdaughter told police he committed the crime.
Ryan Shelby was charged with the murder of his stepdaughter, Alexis Oesterle, last week.
Her body was found less than 24 hours after the 15-year-old was reported missing.
WHAS11 News has obtained court documents in the investigation that show investigators were able to determine Shelby was the suspect by blood found on his boots.
