LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The intersection of 5th and Jefferson has been reopened after a hole halted rush hour traffic Tuesday evening.
The hole was discovered by a man who got off a TARC bus and alerted the driver and authorities.
It was described as being smaller than a manhole cover but also very deep.
Metro Public Works covered the hole with a steel cover and reopened the street just after 8 p.m.
There’s no cause on why the hole developed.
