(WHAS 11) -- About three dozen Hoosiers are lending their time and skills to help get the areas affected by Hurricane Sandy back to normal.
Thirty-seven members of the Indiana Incident Management team have been in Long Beach, New York since Nov. 9. Three of those volunteers are firefighters from Jeffersonville.
They're helping run a command center out of an ice arena where they are collecting and distributing supplies and dispatching volunteers.
The Indiana team will spend Thanksgiving in New York but will come back home Nov. 23.
