LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The suspect in a home invasion in Okolona is still on the loose and the victim is hoping someone can help identify who broke into his home.

“You know it’s really kind of scary. It’s very uncomforting obviously,” the victim of the home invasion, who doesn’t want to be identified, said.

The suspect stole precious items that can't be replaced. Items that included his grandmother’s gold nugget ring and his father’s sapphire pinky ring.

The victim says there were several sentimental items worth thousands of dollars in his safe that the burglar got away with.

“It’s disturbing that someone can come in your house like that and do what they want,” the home invasion victim said.

The home owner's surveillance video catches the duo in action. They roll up in a silver Nissan.
This woman with blonde hair rings the door bell to see if anyone is home. Then several minutes later the suspect gets out of the car and walks to the back of the home to break inside.

“Basically he just pried to where the dead bolt didn’t catch and then he just goes through the house checking to see if anybody's there,” the victim said.

Everything happened within a matter of 15 minutes while nobody was home. Now the owner says he's beefed up his home security and bought a gun to protect his home from any unwelcome intruders.
