BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11)—A Bullitt Co. lawn care company has been a victim two break-ins in the last two months.
The business is not far from another landscaping business that has had the same problems.
Mike Osbourn, the owner of the business, has cameras that caught the suspect at about 3 a.m. on Thursday, using rocks to break-ion to the officers on Bells Mill Road in Hillview.
Osbourn said he only believes the man was in the building for a couple of minutes. Police arrived quickly and began to look for the suspect with their guns drawn.
He said the suspect did about $1,500 work of damage to the building and the safe. Two months ago Osbourn lost two computers, a television and checks.
Bullitt County Sheriff’s dispatchers confirm to WHAS11 News that the Hillview detectives are investigating the break-in reports at Osbourn’s business, who already have a copy of the security footage.
Osbourn said his business is about 12 miles away from Greenscape Lawn Care in Louisville, which was hit by burglars three times in less than a month. Greenscape lost lawn equipment worth $36,000.
The thieves hit Greenscape, waited until new equipment was bought and then hit it again.
No suspects have been named in that case.
