LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—A resolution to the battle over Italian hemp seeds worked itself out today in Federal court.
The Kentucky Ag. Department will get the seeds after they fill out the permits the DEA requested, to properly import the seeds.
The department filed their application for the permit after the hearing and should have the seeds by Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
The Ag. Department can then give the seeds to universities for research, but not to a private third party farmer.
