(WHAS 11)--A Walmart in West Louisville is getting the green light.
March 24 at 10 a.m., crews are breaking ground on the new building.
It's a move that residents say will bring growth to the neighborhood.
The new location for the Walmart was home to the old Philip Morris plant for more than 50 years. The building remained vacant for more than a decade.
Mayor Greg Fischer is expected to attend the groundbreaking.
