LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—Less than 12 hours before the polls open in Kentucky’s primary election, Democrat Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes was already looking toward the general election.
Grimes was in Louisville on the eve of election day, already going on the offensive for November’s general election while she officially opened her Louisville headquarters at Mid-City Mall in the Highlands.
"Kentuckians are ready for someone that will finally put the people of the state rather than partisan politics first. We have 30 years of failed leadership and Mitch McConnell who has allegedly sat at the front of the bench has failed to put the people of this state first, instead it's been the Washington insiders who have gained and the people of Kentucky who have lost," Grimes said at the opening.
She was also joined on her campaign bus by former Kentucky Governor Martha Layne Collins.
Grimes is in the middle of a 10-day, 50 county jobs bus tour.
