GREEN COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) – Green County Coroner Carol Ray has confirmed both hunters who went missing Friday have been found.
76-year-old Harold Wethington of Casey County was found just before 2 p.m. Saturday while 57-year-old Larry Stokes of Somerset was found just before 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Ray says the cause of death was drowning from an apparent boating accident near the Roachville area on Friday.
Ray couldn’t confirm the exact cause of the accident but did say the water was extremely high and dangerous.
The boat was found 14-miles down the stream. Wethington’s body was found at the 21 mile mark while Stokes’ body was found at the 11-mile mark.
Officials say there were no witnesses.
