LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Two Lexington, Kentucky men were arrested in Louisville after police say they spray painted a floodwall near downtown.

Police say they approached 22-year-old Jamie Meade and 24-year-old Ryan Burge in the 600 block of East Washington after noticing them tossing something toward BlueFin Seafood building.

According to the report, the pair began emptying cans of spray paint from their pockets and Meade confessed to officers they’d been spray painting a floodwall.

Upon testing the 7 cans, officers determined Meade and Burge also spray painted the wall at BlueFin Seafood due to the matching paint residue on their hands.

Police also say Meade had a receipt in his pocket for the purchase of spray paint.

Both men are facing first degree criminal mischief and third degree criminal trespassing charges while Meade faces another charge of tampering with physical evidence.
