LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—Josh Gouker wants to have his murder conviction vacated.

Gouker pleaded guilty in the murder of his stepson, Trey Zwicker, but he now says that he was coerced into making the plea by is lawyers.

The Commonwealth is responding to his request, revealing in new court documents that his motion is denied and they he is having “buyer’s remorse” about his plea deal.

A judge will still rule on the motion however.

Gouker was sentenced to life in prison. His son, Josh Young, was also put on trial for the murder, but was acquitted.

Young is currently in jail on unrelated charges of beating up his girlfriend.
