LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Golden Alert has been canceled for a Louisville man last seen near 4th Street and Central Avenue Thursday night.

Police said 58-year-old Dennis Sorrell may have mental or memory impairment.

Sorrell is described as a white male, 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 135 lbs.

Police said Sorrell is prone to seizures and may be delusional. He is also known to carry a firearm and resist arrest.

Police did not release a description of Sorrell's clothing because they said they received conflicting reports.

St. Matthews police said they responded to a call for a hitch-hiker on Thursday night in the area near Baptist Hospital East. They said they found Sorrell, who appeared to be okay, and the officer gave him a ride.

Officers said they took him to an area near Churchill Downs because that's where he asked to go and there was nothing to indicate that he had any mental health issues or medical concerns.
