EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is planning a fundraising trip to Evansville next month.
The former Massachusetts governor is scheduled to attend the private event Aug. 4 at the home of former Black Beauty Coal Co. chairman Steve Chancellor.
Vanderburgh County Republican chairman Wayne Parke tells the Evansville Courier & Press (http://bit.ly/Mrwj3l ) that he didn't know yet whether Romney would have any public campaign events during the trip.
Tickets to the fundraiser cost at least $2,500 per person. An invitation says former Vice President Dan Quayle will be among others attending.
Romney's last Indiana trip was to a May 7 private fundraiser in Indianapolis. His last public event in the state was a September speech in Indianapolis.
