Funeral set for mother, daughter murdered near Bardstown, Ky.

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) – Family and friends gathered Sunday to begin saying goodbye to a beloved special education teacher and her daughter who were both murdered at their home near Bardstown. 

Services for Kathy and Samantha Netherland will take place at Parkway Baptist Church from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with their funeral following immediately after.

Police are continuing their search in finding whoever is responsible for the special education teacher and her 16-year-old daughter’s death.

Police recently released images of three vehicles seen near the location the morning of their deaths.
 
A description of the following vehicles are: a dark colored Ford F-350 0r F-450 flatbed pickup truck pulling a 20-24 foot cattle trailer, a 2006 or newer, four door, black Chevrolet Impala and a middle to late 1990’s red Ford Ranger Super cab, step side, pickup truck with aftermarket fenders and a sticker on the rear passenger side window.  
 
KSP believes the occupants of these vehicles may have witnessed something and want help in identifying who they are.  Any information anyone has regarding these vehicles or pertaining to this investigation in general, please contact the Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown at 270-766-5078.
