LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The funeral for the Indianapolis police officer killed in the line of duty Friday morning have been set for next Thursday.
41-year-old Rod Bradway was shot while responding to a domestic disturbance after kicking in an apartment door when he heard a woman screaming for help.
The alleged gunman, Steven Byrdo, was also killed.
Later Friday, there was a vigil held honoring Bradway’s 5-years of service. His fellow officers were in attendance but it also brought people together in the community who had never met him.
