Frankfort Police search for gas station robbery suspect

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Frankfort Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a Speedway gas station Tuesday night.

According to a news release, the store clerk told police the man had a large knife and demanded money from the store register, then fled on foot, after getting an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5’8’’-5’9’’ tall, weighing 180-190 pounds, with short strawberry blonde hair and was wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt, and his face was covered with a blue sleeve apparently cut from his shirt. He also has a tattoo on his left arm.

Frankfort Police are asking that anyone who may have information on this crime to call Frankfort Crime Stoppers at 502-875-8648.

Crime Stoppers may pay a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
