OWENSBORO, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Bill Clinton was in Owensboro, Ky. Wednesday night for a fundraiser in honor of his good friend, former Kentucky governor and U.S. senator Wendell Ford.
The fundraiser is to benefit the Wendell Ford Government Education Center. Wendell Ford served 24 years in the U.S. Senate. He retired in 1999.
There was a dinner and reception to raise money for an endowment to the center. Ford was there and he's now 88-years-old.
This is the third time Clinton has been in Owensboro. He came in 2000 as president, then again to campaign for his wife in 2008.
