Louisville, Ky. (WHAS) – Former Louisville football player and NFL athlete Adrian Grady returned to his roots Saturday by bringing early holiday joy to dozens of families in need.
Grady teamed up with Coach Charlie Strong and former Cardinal Larry Slade to hand out winter coats and turkeys so families could enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.
“Some people know they kind of forget about how a simple coat and a small gesture like that can help a kid’s winter be better,” Grady said. “It can help a kid with school [so] he doesn’t have to wait at the bus stop cold now, you know what I mean?”
Grady said Texas Roadhouse, Rafferty’s and Meijer were the three major sponsors that helped make the event possible.
