LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Former State Representative Porter Hatcher Jr. has died at the age of 76.
Hatcher represented West Louisville in the Kentucky House from 1987 to 1999.
He was also a businessman who ran his own insurance business.
Hatcher’s political career ended when state officials found out he failed to purchase insurance for clients who paid premiums.
He received 5 years probation after pleading guilty to insurance and campaign-finance fraud.
Hatcher’s visitation will be Monday at St. Stephen’s Church from 10 to noon with the funeral following immediately after.
