CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11)—The former owners of the Colgate plant in Clarksville are facing a lawsuit.

The group “1410 South Clark Boulevard LLC” had filed a mortgage foreclosure lawsuit against “Boston Development Group” and “TCL Encore LLC.”

The lawsuit claims the property’s owners have defaulted on their obligations under the terms of the mortgage and have failed to make payments.

According to the lawsuit, the balance due is $2.9 million.

The plan closed in 2008 and is known for the large clock atop the building, which had over looked the Ohio River for 90 years.

The site had been nominated for the National Register of Historical Places.
