LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Former mayoral candidate and Louisville developer Chris Thieneman was arrested on May 29.

Thieneman was arrested and charged with violating an emergency protective order and retaliating against someone in the legal process.

According to the police report, on April 30, Thieneman had his employees go into a building he owns on Dixie Highway and take the front door off the Snap Fitness, which is owned by his ex-girlfriend.

Police said he told his employees to return the next day and remove the plywood used to replace the front door and move the old equipment that didn't belong to his ex.

Thieneman was previously arrested for attacking his former girlfriend. Police said he tried to choke her when they got in a fight over a cell phone last September.

As of Friday afternoon Thieneman is out of jail on bond.
