New Washington, Ind. (WHAS11)- A fire occurred at a New Washington, Ind. home Wednesday night.
It happened at about 11:30 p.m. at a home on Bull Creek Road near Highway 62.
Firefighters arrived to find flames pouring out of the home.
An hour later, smoke was still rising from holes in the roof.
Firefighters had to bring water in since there are no hydrants in the area.
The family living there had left the house before firefighters arrived.
Investigators say the fire started in the back of the home.
