(WHAS11) – A fire broke out in Newburgh, Indiana yesterday morning which completely destroyed a shopping center.
Nine businesses, a vacant space and a church have been completely destroyed.
In the early hours of Small Business Saturday, the owners watched helplessly as their livelihood turned into ashes.
“It is definitely a devastating thing that has happened because everything I have is now up in flames,” Mike Kirshline, Owner of the Rug Gallery said.
Investigators are still searching for what caused the fire and where it started.
