LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A fire overnight at the Algood Food Company in Pleasure Ridge Park is out and no injuries have have been reported.

The fire broke out after 10 p.m. Sunday at the factory on the 7400 block of Trade Port Drive.

Fire officials said a peanut roaster caught fire after it was started for production. They said a worker heard a pop when he started the machine and then saw a fire ignite.

The fire did spread to a ventilation duct, causing flames to shoot out of the roof.

Firefighters said it took crews about 45 minutes to get the blaze under control. No serious damage was reported and no employees were injured.

Investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what started the fire. The business is open and running as normal.
