LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The man killed in a motorcycle accident Friday night in the Chickasaw neighborhood has been identified.
The Jefferson County Coroner says 47-year-old Thomas Saunders was killed when his motorcycle collided with an SUV at Westchester Avenue and Southwestern Parkway.
Two motorcyclists were driving down Southwestern Parkway, at around 9 a.m. Friday, when police say Saunders collided with an SUV as it was crossing Southwestern Parkway on Westchester Avenue.
Police say Saunders did not appear to be wearing a helmet. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this accident, according to police.
The driver of the SUV was taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No charges are expected to be filed.
