(WHAS11) -- The 26-year-old motorcyclist killed in an accident in southwest Jefferson Co. around 6 p.m. Saturday has been identified.
The Jefferson County Coroner identified 26-year-old Cody Sinkhorn as the motorcyclist who died in a wreck on Green Belt Highway and Tradeport Drive Saturday night.
Police say Sinkhorn was riding southbound on Greenbelt Highway with several other motorcyclists, when he ran a red light and crashed into an SUV. Witnesses say dozens of motorcyclists had just driven by and Sinkhorn was at the end of the group.
According to police, Sinkhorn was wearing a helmet.
The 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to LMPD, the driver of the SUV will not face any charges. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
This is the second fatal accident involving a motorcyclist in two days.
On Friday, 53-year-old Donald Dennison, was killed after the driver of a car lost control and crossed into his lane on Dixie Highway. He was also pronounced dead on the scene.
