Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Wet, squishy and muddy.

These are the conditions that golf fans, as well as the golfers are dealing with on this rainy Friday at Valhalla.

Some fans, like the Lovelace family, who drove down from Springfield, Ill., were very much prepared.

"We looked at the weather forecast and looked like it was gonna have rain all day so we brought rain pants, rain gear, umbrellas…we brought it all," Mr. Lovelace said.

While others, like Kyle Baker, needed to purchase some assistance.

"I came prepared with a hat but didn't think it would rain much. This is my umbrella I purchased for $39.99. On the plus side it can keep four of my friends here dry," he said.

And then there are the fans who, while they may not look ready for rain, they can become protected at a moment's notice.

No matter wet or dry, fans are enjoying the second day at the pga championship.
