LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) –The family of 22 year-old Christopher Malone is pleading for information to catch his killer. Malone was shot 14 times. His body was put in a dumpster in South Louisville and discovered on Friday.

His family is devastated over his death but say the way he was killed has left them even more heartbroken. "My son was not a piece of trash. He did not deserve to end up in a dumpster," his mom Teri Green said

His older sister, Mary Ann Malone-Lee also said, “Somebody took him from us. They done too much it wasn't enough to take him from us, but he was disrespected."

Green says the last time she say her son was on Thursday night. She says he left home with a friend. His body was found in the 4200 block of Allmond Avenue.

According to Malone's family, he loved music and was a huge University of Kentucky fan. His mother says he was a student who was considering studying law.

“He was my baby. He was my heart. He was my life and now he's gone," Green said.

Police have no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 574-LMPD.

Funeral arrangements are still pending.
