LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—The family of a woman murdered in January held a vigil on Monday night to celebrate what would be the victim’s 25th birthday.
The family of Kristine Pierson returned to the alley where her body was found on Jan. 17 near 33rd Street and Rudd Avenue in Portland.
They tied ribbons around the poles in the alley and brought pink and white balloons.
“She was my baby, she was daughter, my love, the light of my life. I need to know what happened to her. And that she didn't suffer and she didn't deserve to be put away in an alley all by herself on a 10 degree night,” Cheryl Browning, Pierson’s mother, said.
A $10,000 reward is being offered in the case by the family for information about what Pierson was doing from Jan 14, until her body was found three days later.
"We've had a lot of calls and a lot of tips and thank you for those but we need someone who saw it, someone that knows something instead of a hearsay. Unfortunately we're not able to find the true answer to what happened,” Browning said.
