LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – We’re just 5 days away from opening day at the Kentucky State Fair and judging in some of the contests has begun.
Thousands of entries in categories including 4-H and FFA entries along with fine arts and crafts, textiles, culinary and even homebrewed beer are being dropped off at the Kentucky Expo Center today and Sunday.
The fair opens Thursday and runs through August 25.
Tickets at the gate are $10 for adults and $6 for children and seniors.
Advance tickets are available until Wednesday at Kroger.
Parking at the Fairgrounds will be $8 per vehicle and on weekends, there will be free parking at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
WHAS11 day at the fair will be on opening day.
