(WHAS11) – Months after a 5-year-old was taken as a hostage by Alabama man, police have released profanity-laced conversations with negotiators.

Back in January, Jimmy Lee Dykes stormed a school bus in Midland City, Alabama, shot a bus driver and snatched one of the children.

He kept the 5-year-old hostage in an underground bunker for 6 days.

Photos describing the conditions of the bunker were also released showing a bed, small flashlights hung on the wall, water bottles and an animal calendar sitting on the bed.

Neighbors told CNN Dykes was a paranoid, anti-government loner and that’s consistent with what he was saying to hostage negotiators.
