JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A massive distribution warehouse has opened in Jeffersonville and employees are reporting for their first day of work.

The Amazon Fulfillment Center officially opened Monday, but Wednesday is the day workers get their first look inside the newly constructed facility.

Mayor Mike Moore of Jeffersonville and Chief of Police Chris Grimm will be on hand at a press conference Wednesday morning at Amazon to answer questions and offer information to the public related to concerns about the increased amount of traffic the facility is expected to bring to the area.

Amazon is still looking to hire hundreds of employees for the new facility.

The $150 million dollar facility is the company's latest addition, and the fifth Amazon distribution location in the State of Indiana.
