LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Emergency crews were called to the scene of a head-on collision around 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 8900 block of 3rd Street Road near Lamborne Boulevard.
Police say a man, driving a green Dodge Caravan southbound on 3rd Street Road lost control of his vehicle and struck a white Nissan Rogue head-on that was stopped northbound on 3rd Street Road. The Nissan was waiting to make a left turn on Mitchell.
The passenger in the Nissan was transported to University Hospital where he later died of his injuries. Police say the victim appears to be in his 60's.
The LMPD traffic Unit is investigating. There are no charges at this time.
