LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – An emaciated and abused Great Dane has been released from a veterinary clinic to a foster family.
During the weekend, the Shamrock Pet Foundation rescued the 2-year-old dog who they named “Andrei.”
The rescuers say he was so anemic he would have not survived one more day without help.
Shamrock says Andre is expected to make a full recovery but it will be several months until he’s well enough to be considered for adoption.
