Donation bank account created for EMS workers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – An account has been set up at any Fifth Third Bank location to help the families of two EMT’s who were seriously injured in a crash earlier this week.

The account is listed as the "Louisville Metro EMS injured employees account." 48-year-old Christopher O’Bryan died in that collision on Frankfort Avenue and River Road.

The ambulance was responding to an emergency, with the sirens on, when it crashed into O’Bryan who was turning right on Frankfort.

The two EMS workers were taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.
