Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - A female dog was reportedly hit on purpose by a car in Henderson County May 25.

She was transported to Bowman Field around noon the next day, thanks to volunteer pilot Dr. Jeff Allen.

She was taken immediately to Blue Pearl Animal Hospital on Magisterial Drive.

Dr. Rebecca Eaves at the Blue Pearl Animal Hospital is also a director of The Arrow Fund. The Arrow Fund is an animal rescue group.

The Fund reports that this case will be costly and have asked for help in paying for the dog’s treatment.

Check out their website for more information on how you can help.
