(WHAS11) -- The director of Louisville Metro Public Works is stepping down amid a sexual discrimination lawsuit.
Mayor Greg Fischer's office confirms that Ted Pullen resigned Friday.
The resignation comes just days after Paula Wahl filed a lawsuit saying she was repeatedly passed over for a promotion because she was a female.
However, Pullen's resignation letter did not mention the lawsuit, and instead stated that he wanted to pursue other opportunities.
Pullen's job is expected to be posted on Tuesday.
