FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) – The deadline for open enrollment for healthcare under the Affordable Care Act is one day away and officials say the number of Kentuckians insured is growing.
Governor Steve Beshear’s office says more than 350,000 Kentuckians have enrolled through Kynect, the state’s health exchange which is their implementation of the ACA.
This means an estimated 8 percent of residents in the state have insurance through Kynect.
If you’re interested in getting health insurance, you have until midnight on March 31 to avoid any penalties.
If you have any questions about the program you are asked to call 1-855-KYNECT.
