LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)--  A Dairy Queen in Brandenburg is doing what it can to help out the family of a 13-year-old boy that was shot and killed earlier this month.

Tonight, ten percent of all sales between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. will be donated to the boy's family to help fund the funeral.

Tucker Wimpee, along with his mother, Helen, was shot and killed by his mother’s boyfriend.

Tucker is the son of a Meade County Sheriff Deputy, Phillip Wimpee.

All funds collected at the Dairy Queen on Bypass Road will be donated to the Wimpee family
