FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP and WHAS11) -- A consultant says Kentucky's doctor shortage could get worse under a planned expansion of the state's Medicaid program coupled with a push to help the uninsured obtain health coverage. That's the conclusion of Deloitte Consulting. Gov. Steve Beshear wants to expand the program to cover 300,000 more people.
One week after Governor Steve Beshear announced Kentucky would expand Medicaid in partnership with "Obamacare," a big protest was planned at the Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange meeting in Frankfort.
