LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The coroner has identified the victim of Thursday's accident on Taylorsville Road as Shirley DeFelice age 83.
DeFelice was pronounced dead at University Hospital at 2:48 p.m. in the ER. The cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the accident, says the coroner.
The wreck happened in the 2500 block of Taylorsville Road, near Bowman. Witnesses told police that a male driver in a yellow pick-up truck was headed northbound on Taylorsville Road and drifted into oncoming traffic. The white Lincoln was hit head-on.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by Bosse Funeral Home on Ellison Avenue.
The driver of the truck and the passenger in the Lincoln were also transported to the hospital with injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
