Corrections worker charged with trafficking, bribery

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Kentucky corrections worker is behind bars in Louisville after an undercover bust.

According to a police report, 45-year-old Robert Massie was arrested over the weekend after police said he agreed to smuggle drugs into the Luther Luckett prison facility in LaGrange in exchange for $1,000.

Police said the undercover transaction was caught on video.

A news release from the Kentucky Department of corrections states that an investigation was launched after Massie was suspected of introducing contraband into the prison.

Massie, who worked as a maintenance and operations technician, is charged with 1st degree conspiracy trafficking in a control substance, 2nd degree conspiracy trafficking in a control substance, bribery, and official misconduct.
