Bloomington, Ind. (WHAS11) -- The Marion County Coroner's office has confirmed that a skull found close to where Lauren Spierer was last seen does not belong to her.
The skull was found on the banks of the White River under the Raymond Street Bridge on July 8, which is approximately 60 miles from where Spierer was last seen.
Spierer, 21, vanished on June 3, 2011, after a night out with friends in Bloomington, Ind. The Indiana University student is four feet 11 inches tall, and weighs less than 100 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.
The forensic anthropologist who examined the skull said its characteristics were consistent with those of a East or Southeast Asian male.
