LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Jefferson County Coroner has identified a man who was shot to death in the Shawnee neighborhood on the city’s west side.

Heartbroken and still in shock, family members of Quinton Logan, also known as Joc, gathered Sunday morning in the 300 block of South 42nd Street where the 38-year-old was shot and killed hours before.

Logan’s grieving mother was inside the hole while his only sibling, Michelle Seabrooks, was outside trying to hold her family together pushing through her own devastation.

“That was my brother just as much as that was her son. I don’t have any more brother – somebody took mine from me, my family and his kids,” Seabrooks said.

Logan has five children ranging from 4 to 15 and a 1-year-old grandchild.

After spending the day at the Newport Aquarium with his kids’ family, Logan was home with his 4-year-old son, his aunt, mother and grandmother.

His mother left to take his grandmother to the hospital and returned about 1:30 a.m. to find Logan’s car running and someone slumped across the back porch.

“When she went in the house to get my brother to tell him that somebody must’ve passed out and he wasn’t in there because that was him,” Seabrooks said.

Seabrooks says her aunt actually heard the gunshots – not an unusual sound in their Shawnee neighborhood and therefore didn’t pay them any mind.

“That’s a shame. She just rolled back over – she didn’t know,” she said.

Seabrooks says she doesn’t know who killed her brother but she’s calling whoever did a coward.

“I don’t want you. There’s nothing I can do to you. God’s gone get you,” she said.

Police are asking if anyone has any information about this case to call 574-LMPD.
