LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – For three consecutive years, comic book lovers came out in droves dressed to impress at the Derby City Comic-Con.
More than 200 comic creators, artists and vendors were on hand.
One of the popular moments during the event was the costume contest and many came out dressed as their favorite characters including Spiderman and Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe.
For those who attend say they’re into comic books but people watching is the best part.
“There’s plenty of interesting people here, that’s really why I came here,” patron Joe Clere said.
Derby City Comic-Con is held at the Kentucky International Convention Center each year.
